6 BOOKS ABOUT THE BRITISH ROYAL FAMILY AND CORONATION
The coronation of King Charles 3 may inspire readers

Roy Strong, historian and former director of the Victoria Museum, was
just 16 years old when he stood on the Victoria embankment in London on June 2,
1953 to watch the "golden carriage" carrying Queen Elizabeth 2 to the
coronation: “The smiling face of the queen and the sparkle of her diamonds are
still etched in my memory.”
And in his work, in a novel prose voice, he tells readers more about
every coronation of the British Royal Family, since Edgar's coronation in 973
AD. The author also shares many anecdotes about jewelry, myths, and rituals
from historical records. He shows that some traditions of King Charles 3's
coronation can be traced back to Edgar's 10th-century ritual.

in luxury, glittering with diamonds, but the times were also difficult and
volatile of wars and plagues. There were a number of coronation ceremonies that
Borman described as particularly memorable: Henry 7 was crowned at age 7,
"looked around sadly and wisely as the crown was placed on his head;
Edward 1, in one word. said, "removed his crown during the ceremony and swore
he would never put it back on until he regained all that his father had
lost" or George 2 was furious during the parade. because “the crimson
velvet hat, lined with mink fur, was too large for his head and kept falling
over his eyes.” Kings who reigned for 12 centuries are encapsulated in 500
pages – the framework of a standard biography.

The author wrote in the foreword to this 2017 book: "I find that a
lot of things about Prince Charles are still not understood, especially his
uniqueness." She reminds that “his every move” has been “tested and

mistakes, his loneliness and his success. ". According to critic William
Boyd, who attended the same school as King Charles, Bedell portrayed the new

scandals and tragedy when noticing the couple's enduring affection.
The Duchess also provides a basic explanation of the titles and a short
glossary of important locations to help newcomers to the royal family better
understand the big day of the coronation.
